what timing should be set for greddy turbo?
Well guys my bro took his turbo off for the state ref. he got his ls bar'd. At that time we had to set timing back to 16 in order to pass smog. Now we install the turbo put back the rc 440cc injectors. We set timing at 13 and car bogs
Here is setup
99 civic dx with b18b1 99 ls swap
greddy turbo kit with intercooler stock internals. rc 440cc. Car before with turbo had the dsm 440 so we remove that to replace with rc 440s.It was tuned with obd1 chipped crome pro runs perfect. Now we start it up and it seems like timing.I forgot what timing it was before. What do you turbo guys set your timing at? We can see the exhaust boggling not smooth like before?

It might not be a timing issue right now. The DSM injectors require a resistor box. Do the new RC injectors require the use of a resistor box? That could be your problem right there. Put the DSM injectors back in and see how it runs. Switching from the DSM injectors to the RC injectors might require a complete re-tune.

Contact your buddies tuner and ask him what your buddies idle timing is set at. That is what you set your dist to.
Your injectors probably aren't going to operate correctly, from what I understand about how peak and hold injectors work.
Ignore all that crap down there:
From my limited experience, you shouldn't be bogging because your timing maps have 3 degrees pulled from them.
There is no timing for a greddy kit. Your friend is pulling timing from the dist because he has no other means of control. The timing is base minus x where x is what is needed so you never detonate, even if that means bogging elsewhere.
If you don't know/arent checking for detonation I would look into getting the car professionaly tuned. If you are scared to run more timing because of detonation, but it bogs with 13 degrees at idle, then your friend was detonating before.
Retry the timing: reset the ecu, and jump the service connnector then have at it.
Go make some det cans, buy a magnifying glass and a 10pack of spark plugs and figure it out. Do a pull or two with 2 degrees retard over base and see if there is any detonation.
