Why? They make great power reliably.
A B20 + stroker kit will make you loads of power. Cams selection maybe a bit hard because you don't want cams that require you to rev too high to make power; your low rod/stroke ratio will not like it.

i say keep the gsr and up the displacement..get new rods, high comp pistons, port the head, get valve train with flat valves to bump the compression, and some cams that give you the powerband that you want....torque, mid range, high end power....
i love it when people think i drive an si with just a gsr swap....what they dont know is that its pretty much a b20....84 mm all the way

i'm pretty sure eagle has a stroker kit for it, takes some funky looking pistons though to accomodate for the larger stroke, but they still can use factory length rods. Stroker kits make loads of torque but wont rev that high.
Keep your gsr block, sleeve it to 85mm. Send the head to RLZ/Portflow/DFE and have them port it along with your IM. Buy a SMSP/DTR/RMF header, shoot for around 12.1 c/r, RM M24x cams with RM valvetrain and have it tuned. Done. Why are there so many of these threads?

FTW, and 2nd place goes to the k swap idea.
But two swap a k in your car will cost as much as it will to do a complete build set up like stated above.

you can get a k20 off ebay or hmo for around 5k.. but you're right the cost of the labor could easily exceed the cost of the swap.

so $5k for the k20, then add the mount kit, wiring mods if you dont do em yourself, then the header and intake, plus dont forget a kpro or at least a reflash....then the little things like oil, spark plugs, etc and it will pretty easily hit $7k if you do it all on your own....

The honda builder in my area has a k24 bottom end and a type s head/ si tranny(thats better for all motor) with complete wiring for 4 grand but thats without mounts.... shops around here are waiting for some1 to do this swap 2 sponser I have like 10 grand and what ever I get for selling my gsr motor. Whats Kpro or reflashing is it jst the engine management??

that's does't make any sense. one more gear= shorter ratios and better mileage. people commonly swap out their ep3 tranny for a 6 spd. i've never heard anyone swapping a 6-speed for a 5-speed

i think when you build to the max , h and b series will have the same potential, just h series pack on more weight.
