no vtec,oil light stays on dash

Default no vtec,oil light stays on dash

motor has less than 30k.oil is up to level,just replaced the oil pressure switch with an oem one,same problem.any one have any suggestions.

not getting power to solenoid,i tried using my itr ecu,tried using a stepdown harness with an obd1 p72.same thing oil light stays on dash and no vtec

i had the same problem. drop the oil pan and check the oil pickup. when i did this to my car, i found a crap load of chipped bearings clogging up the pickup.

you could have dented the pan right at the pickup. happened on my prelude. won;t suck up enough oil.

if the oil light is on would check your oil pump, it might have broke/shattered. if you drop the pan obviously look for metal flakes. but drop the pick up and look in there for chunks. i personally seen a few shattered due to non dampened crank pully's and one go bad to a sand blasted valve cover that still had sand in it that made its way to the oil pump.
