Spoon Clutch Metal Disc (3 Puck)
Anyone know how this clutch is for daily driving? I've heard mixed reviews, one one side it's similar to stock, the other side saying it's similar to an "off/on" switch and is for racing only....
I've driven on it and it can be a bit difficult to get used to at first.
Spoon's 3 puck disc should be the thicker version and will be more durable than the thinner Exedy model.
Slipping is what kills 3 puck clutches fast (slipping = stop/go traffic)
Don't expect it to last as long as a stock full face clutch, but your syncros will be happier with the lighter disc and the instantaneous engagement when driving at full song is very nice.

would the same be true for 6 puck clutches also?

I can't say for certain since I've only test driven an ACT setup years ago with an Xtreme Pressure plate and solid 6 puck.
All I know is, it was a true bitch to drive. I suspect it was more due to the pressure plate.
I'd like the think the 6 puck is more resitant to wear than the 3 puck just based on the fact that there is more surface area vs. the 3 puck and you don't experience the sometimes violent judder/shudder of a 3 puck when you don't slip it enough off the line.
