Default "All motor" question.

If its possible, what motor would be the best choice if i wanted to build it up to an "all motor" 250 hp? Possible for more hp than that?

And it would get dropped into a 93 Civic DX at the same time as a at to mt swap.

Thanks.

Oh, and I'd like to keep it as budget friendly as possible, which i also realize might not be all that feasible.

Well, first off, trying to get 250whp on all motor isnt easy, and CHEAP, thats the last thing it will be. figure a B swap, $2500-xxxx, then full high compression build, cam, head work, tuning, etc etc etc. it will end up costing way more than its worth in my opinion.

Obviously I'm new to the site, so I wasn't sure which forum to post in. I figured since it was getting dropped into a civic, I could ask here, since I wasnt asking how to do the build up. Just which engine would suit my wants best from users who have done it. Then I thought I'd go to the allmotor forum for more info.

Anyway, I'll check that forum out more in depth.

there are plenty of cars with 250hp all motor. it is an expensive path though, it takes high comp pistons, cams/valvetrain, headwork, a GOOD header, intake/IM setup or ITB's and lots of tuning. its also much more attainable with increased displacement.

do peruse the all motor forum, for threads like this one, Tbone's 268whp build, and this one

Yeah. I've been reading misc threads for the last 4 hours. Looks like a swap with turbo is gonna be the way for me to go. Even if i wanted to spend that much money, I should be able to make much more hp with the turbo setup. I'll keep reading before asking more questions.

Damn. What kind of header did you get? the one I'm looking into is by rage for 650 installed. That pick 2 saying is one of the most accurate things I've ever read on here to the OP: read it, learn it, live it! (haha just got done watching fast times at ridgemont high, great movie.)

k24/k20(r) build would help to reach the coveted 250 hp goal, but then again, cheap and N/A dont go in teh same sentence...

^^ this doesnt seem like giving someone a hard time. we're saying his goal is attainable but will be expensive to reach.

Built b16 or gsr head with big cams. It will put you over 220 u wont see 250 unless your really really good or go K series.
