Default Superchaged- which oil weight?

Which oil weight should i use? The normal that I have been using like a Castrol syntec 5W30 or are you supposed to change it for supercharded applications. This is a JRSC on a B16A2.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If your going to just insult then get the expletive off my post. Im here for help.

do a compression and a leakdown tesk. if both are good id say it wouldnt hurt to step up to a 10w30 weight oil

Not supercharge related, but force induction related. Some turbocharged guys still run 5w30. But me I'm running 10w40, just because I feel like it.

really depends on what type of clearances the engine runs.

try the "recommend oil page" at http://www.opieoils.co.uk and specify everything about your engine and what mods you have too. he'll suggest the best (full synthetic) oil weight to keep it in good shape

Yeah I'm w/ that other guy, I'd recommend running a slightly heavier oil (10w40) b/c of the FI there will be increased stress on things and a heavier weight oil can spend more time cooling things off....
