resurfacing slotted rotors?
A little more than a year ago i bought some slotted rotors and some i performance pads and now i feel the rotors starting to vibrate. i was wondering can you resurface slotted rotors like you can the stock ones.
Sure Can, And as a matter of fact I have all rotors turn ( Slightly ) before Putting them on a car for the first time! Turn em', So you know its right the first time. But dont ride on em for a long time, much easier to take care of it.
You are right about the width, but not every piece of metal is perfect. Have you ever seen Brembo Rotors not be true straight out of the box? Its easy for the lathe to take just enough to ensure trueness. See, there is a difference between what you are trying to accomplish when you have them true'ed, as opposed to turn them. Becides they ride so smoote freshly turned and brand new. Its only like 8-11 dollars wheel.
I think you only can if you still have enough surface area to do so. Personally, I think slotted or cross drilled rotors are a waste of money. Rotors are a wear item and they wear out fast if you brake hard all the time, regardless of what setup you have.
I've tried Honda OEM blanks
Brembo Blanks
Brembo Slotted
Autozone Blanks
They all warped about the same to me and the only difference was that Autozone was way lighter on my wallet.

Well, start with not pushin on the brakes so hard, theres nothing "sporty driving" about being a lead foot on your brakes, but good luck.
