Default Pulled too much on inboard CV joint.. how can I repair it?

It looks like I hyper-extended it. I think the rollers popped out of the CV joint cup, and I can't push it back in.

Do I need to pop the rubber boot and manually re-install the rollers?

I was dropping the tranny and I pulled too hard on the driver's side driveshaft.. I should have pulled on the intermediate shaft instead. my bad...

Thanks for any help!

well you are suppost to either take out the shaft complete from TRANS. or pop out axle at intermediate shaft with pry bar or something like that and then the int. shaft i have had a friend that did this before, no seriously it wasnt me, you have to take off the boot and put the roller part of the CV joint back into the cup the bearings have rectangular plates so they will only go in on one side, longways in, so that is why you cant push it back in but you should go get a boot kit so you will have a new boot and clamps but some of the clamps require a special tool to squeeze the clamp. nevermind that i know all the clamps require a special tool

That's what I was afraid of... I think the rectangular plates went sideways once it went beyond the cup, and that's why they won't go back in.

I'll have to cut the clamp off and put the rollers back in manually. The boot is in fine condition, so I think I'll re-use it and just get another band at the acura dealership. Annoying, but not tragic..

So is the drive shaft supposed to pop out of the intermediate shaft or is it one unit? I tried prying it with a screwdriver, but it wouldn't budge...

Thanks for the reply.
