car overheating?

Default car overheating?

well lately since the weather here in the midwest is getting hot and humid i notice when i come up to stop my temp gauges goes up past halfway but never goes clear to the top....then when i accerlate the gauge goes down....the car drives fine and doesn't make any weird noises or seem as if tho its running hot...any body have and ideas on what it could be?

what motor u running?
... i kno on mine we took out my thermostat.. lol and that solvd my problem.. but i also just bought a better radiator.. and thats definitely fixed the problem now..

Mine recently did this a few weeks back. I just did a flush then let it run for a 15 minutes without the cap to let the air bubbles out and no problems sense then. I drove to Dallas and back (from Houston) and never had a problem.

Make sure you not losing water, check the cap to make sure it's good & the thermastat.

thats most likely water pump.

does the fan turn on?

idling: no airflow through radiator unless fan turns on, so temps go up.

driving, air going through rad regardless of fan operation, temps go down.

water pump?
