Default Temp Problem

Okay I know the cause of my problem what I want to know is has anyone had this problem if so what did you do to solve it. Stock 93 civic si replaced the radiator 6 months ago with a dual thickness aluminium unit. The car runs great no overheating issues. Now that winter is here I have the problem of it running to cool. This makes it hard to get the car warm inside. I thought about running a higher temp tstat but that is only going to help with warm up not so much keeping the temp up. The other thought I had was blocking off a portion of the rad to effect its cooling ability

The T-stats job is to keep the water jacket around the engine at a specified temperature. If your radiator has the capacity to overcool, the T-stat should be able to restrict the flow and maintain the desired temperature. Are you sure the current T-stat is functioning properly?

I have no reason to think it is not functioning properly. Its the same one that was in it last winter before the change of the radiator. The car comes up to temp at the same rate that it always has. I hate the idea of changing the tstat everytime the seasons change
