LS head port and polished, JDM b20 block pistons, rods, sleeved. etc etc. i didnt rev to 8k really.. well, i launched it at 4krpm and i didnt catch traction so i was juss hitting 7.5k for lil bit then shifted to 2nd.. surpseid i have no rev limiter... i shouldnt have bent a valve or broke anything right if my idle is fine??? maybe juss need valve adjustment right???!!!

nothing in that list of mods suggests that will allow you to go to 8k safely (valve train wise)...id be careful...you might have gotten lucky...but i know for a fact piston to valve contact is very possible at that rpm on a stock ls valvtrain...and your idle isnt ALWAYS an indicator of a bent valve...it can be...but its not definitive

Thats not true idle will always be rough if you have a bent valve. Just do a compression check and that will answer all of your questions. I know chrome has alot of bugs in it you might want to think about changing to obd1 and using uberdata, just a thought

plugs have no oil in them. no chck engine light, timing belt is on ok. fixed my exhaust piping , the wielded part broke off, and had to re-wield. i hear my valves ticking so need a valve adjustment. hope that is all, valve adjustment and im good... hopefully no bent valves or nothing. also i hear a little diff exhaust now, more bup bup bup bup then before sound.

i beg to differ....ive seen many ppl go for a LONG time not knowing a valve is slightly bent...because it didnt affect idle in ANY way....

if your exhaust is now fixed and it's that loud...i'd say it's rod knock. bent valve would sound a little different i think (i haven't heard one for a while ) but definitely start pulling things off.

my car on crome has turned off while i was braking. weird

sorry to hear that , but good thing its not a valve.

all u have to do is pull the pan and do the rod and mains one by one

cost u like 400 if u can do it yourself and providing the knock isnt that bad yet
