speedometer? not working ... help!
okay ... its not like a reall necesity to have a speedometer that works .. buts its nice to know how fast im going when theres a cop behind ... you know what i mean... well when i changed the transmission i took out that like cable thats goes thru the top .. i put in a si tranny (d series motor) and i put that cable back in ... now i have now speedometer ... what can i do to fix it ... ?
The speedometer is a little piece that slides into the top of the tranny. the SI tranny might have a messed up speedo so you might want to check it. Its to hard to describe what exactly it looks like but its not hard to miss. its kinda a fun time getting it out without breaking it if you dont know what your doing but id say check the actual speedo to see if its cracked broken etc.
did u make sure u put the speedo cable ALL the way in the tranny so the square looking speedo cable is able to catch the gear in the tranny. this happened to me but i didnt take out the tranny just the cable.
i bought the tranny at a wherehouse were they remanfucter them ... i dont think its messed up but if it is then im assed out if it is since my warranty is over on the frickin thing ... it was working before so i dont think the actual speedometer is broken ... i dont know if i got it in all the way and i dont really want to break it trying to get it in there more than im supposed to ...
dont trip ***** man. all u have to do is twist it and take ur time trying to get it in.believe me u will know when u get it in. its not that big of a deal. the hardest part of this project is that is way the expletive in tha back.lol
I will give you this one since searching wouldn't find it (it's about tranny fluid), I just happened to have it bookmarked. Original Link
