Moody DALS?
As many of you know my 90 ls sat for a week after some kids shot out 2 windows.
Ever since then my car starts when it "feels" like it! I have checked fuses, starter, batt, alt the whole 9 yards, but like I said sometimes it starts and other times nada! I have searched and read alot of different threads and checked everything people have stated previously. It left me standed at 7-11 last night and as was checking to see if there was spark and I found this:

Is this the problem? Is there an easy fix? Please don't tell me I need a new head gasket, :fingers crossed: because I really don't want to have do that work. All the wires are clean/dry except for this one. If you need more info, I will provide. As always thanx in advance.

not a head gasket, but you need the little gaskets that go around the sparkplug holes on the valvecover. oil is leaking past them and filling up in your spark plug reseviours and fouling up the wire contacts.
replace those little gaskets (might as well do the valve cover gasket too), clean your wires, and inspect each plug too.

Gasket is new 8,000 mile on rebuilt engine, I will pull the cover to check the little gaskets though, but do you think thats why it starts sometimes? Thanx again.

Yeah, Thats what I was thinking it is.
did you do the rebuild? becuase sometimes shops either forget or dont replace those and you end up with the old ones. or not at all.
Just pull the cover and check. and let us know,
And yes, that could be the problem. How would it get spark? thru the oil?

Almost put money on it thats what it is.
If it is the case replace the VC gasket and the inner gaskets. Take the plugs out and crank the motor over a couple of times. Dry the wires off and assemble back together.
It'll probably smoke like hell till the oil burns out of the combustion chambers

yeah if the little gaskets around the spark plug wholes are some what new make sure that they have seated right when you put the valve cover on. that should thake care of your oil preventing the spark.
also you might wanna change your oil while ur at it
8,000 on a rebuild shouldnt be lookin like that...you should be changing ur oil very often with a rebuild....it should never look like that with 8k miles
