ok i have 3rd gear grind and now 2nd gear for the last month or soo... both only at high revs...i read alot or gm syncromesh and pennzoil syncromesh topics...and some said different things bout the products...for my grinds, am i supposed to get juss the regular syncromesh or the friction modified?? cause i heard to get the friction modified, but then heard that they both work the same...also i heard the pennzoil syncromesh is the exact formula as the gm syncromesh but the pennzoil one also has the friction modified formula in it too...is this true?? also where can i find these two products cause san francisco sucks with auto stores with no autozone or pepboys near here...and kragen doesnt sell them over here...

hah...ok i thought general motors was its own thing...thanks for clearing that up...ASIDE FROM THAT...any answers to my aboveR questions??

 

I had the 3rd gear grind in my old LS trans so I put the GM syncromesh in and didnt see any change, so I can't really help you out here

 

have you tried the friction modified one??

i used friction modified on a gsr tranny, it helped for a while but it only temporarily masks the problem. to fix it, get a new 3rd gear syncro and/or gear.
