Depending on the condition, you should be ok. Was it a running motor when you recieved the block?

might wanna hone the sleeves so the new piston rings seat properly...what kind of pistons you looking to get?

the head...well...most people would choose the GSR (P72) head over the B16 (PR3) cuz the GSR one puts down a little more torque compared to the B16. The B16 head flows better than the GSR one though...so it's a toss up...it's your call

Your on the right track bro, just research a few things, and if your even alittle unsure about building an engine then get alot of help or pay a good shop to do it. If your sleeves are in good condition then all they will need is a good hone to seat the rings good.

In no way am I trying to correct you or be a smart ***.....but how does a GSR head give more torque? I did hear it would give a bit more compression. Would the slight bump in compression result in more tourque?
