Weird Sound From Tranny. PLZ HELP

Ok it sounds like when lets say ur fender cover comes off and its rubbing on the tire. i hear the sound when i accelarate and deccelarate and even just rolling with the clutch disengaged(clutch pedal held down). Its weird huh? i mean atleast i think its coming from the tranny. Could it be my Axles by any chance? BTW it goes away completly for awhile(sometimes a whole day or more) too ands comes back.

Please help as much as ya can cuz i dont have much money at the moment. And cant start buying stuff that might not be the problem.

is it a grinding like sound? i am leaning toward some sort of transmission bearing failure, but it is tough to diagnose with the information you have provided.
