I have done lots of searching and have come up with nothing. My friend jsut got his new high compression ls vtec in his crx. it has a 12 lb flywheel and stage 2 clutch....anyways we got it started no problem...but there is a horrible squealing noise coming from the starter almost like its stuck on... i am 100% sure its not the belts. I have tried putting 2 known working starters on it but it does the same thing. We even tried to shim it to see if it works and nothing changed. Does anyone have any ideas? Need to get the car working. I put new bearings in before i bolted the tranny on. Do i need to start pulling the tranny? During the install we also moved the battery to the trunk and did a wire tuck. We used a distribution block coming off the power wire(battery-starter) to the fuse box. I doubt that has anything to do with it but u never know... Thanks for any advise
