So yesterday I installed some new axles on my car. Everything went fine with the install and even when I test drove it around last night. But today I'm going to work and as soon as I leave my house I hear a loud grinding/ rubbing noise that gets faster as I accelerate. The wierd thing is the noise isn't al the time, sometimes it will last for only 10 seconds other for a few minutes. I'm pretty sure I didn't damage anything during the install. I know I need to jack it up and spin the wheels to see where exactly the noise is coming from. But I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this. Thanks for your help.

check your lug nuts..make sure they are all tight...if a couple of them are loose then it will make your tire shake..i've done it before and it seems to go away when you let off the gas..and it will pop when accelerating and turning...if thats not the problem...check your fly wheel cover...best way to do that is..jack the car up and lay right underneath it...have someone spin the driver's side tire and listen to see if it end of the axle is rubbin the cover...

ok im sure everything is good just check that little stupid aluminum cover that is behind the rotor it might have gotten bent or something just bend it back more and it should fix ur problem

Yeah I fixed it. It was just the dust cover behind the rotor somehow I bent it. Thanks for the help!
