Default tranny problems

i have a 97 civic with b16a sir2,3&4 gears are grinding.i think is the syncros.those any one knows how much will it cost me to rebuild it?

Replace your transmission fluid with Gm Synchromesh. You can find it at any GM dealer, and sometimes at Advance/Autozone. It should help.

For gods sake im tired of seeing the synchromesh fluid answer everytime someone has grinds. It will buy u time yes. It wont put metal back on the synchros. get the fluid use it to buy u some time then save some money and repair the syncros.

I have look begged borrowed and almost stole any info on transmissions with grinding problems. If things are grinding sycro mesh will buy you time but you will need to rebuild the trans or replace it. If you have time and the ability you could rebuild it yourself or pay someone big bucks. The other option hope to find a good one in the bone yard. Bottom line fix it replace it. or just live with it
