no. that doesn't really help. you neeed to fully service your fluid.
that means, "Flushing" all of your transmission fluid out, and putting some new stuff in.

I hope this isn't the same way you change your motor oil because that would just be a kick in the nuts for you.....

don't mean to jack the thread but i feel a similar thing with my car. when i am on the gas its fine...but as soon as i get off of it the car slows down REALLY fast...almost shaking the car forwards. is this a tranny problem?

EDIT: my car is manual...not auto.

I have same problem. But it happens to me sometime. But When I am slowing from 70-40-30 my gear does not downshift until 20 mph and If I hit gas when it is 23 mph it will stay in 4th gear unless I hit gas really hard.

Do you have a swap? possibly one of your mounts may be bad?

the shaking thing is a little dramatic...i mean the car just really decelerates quickly. like when i drive my girls stock lx...i get off the gas and its a nice smooth decel...not jerky like mine. what are the signs of a bad mount...can you tell visually if its bad?

Yesterday my friends Integra LS driver side mount (by the cam gears) broke, or at least the bushing did. This caused the car not to give optimal power at the wheels and stutter. I would say, check the mounts to see if there ok, especially the tranny one.
