Another Swap not starting.. :-(

Default Another Swap not starting.. :-(

K well just did the D15b swap, before i start elimanating *spelling* what could be wrong im going to ask this...

My ecu is getting chipped wouldnt be here till wednesday so im running a P06 ecu and vtec isnt wired up to the harness either ("maybe" this is why its not working) i donno...

But heres my situation...

I put key in, i heard fuel pump.. then crank.. engine turned but didnt start..tryed second time same thing happen.. then the radiator fan turned on for a sec then turned off.. Third time it wouldnt even turn over, its just dead.. so before it got to dark out.. i checked my lights and all that i got good battery charge.. and no fuel didnt get to the spark plugs.. so well help me start elimating my choices for the a.m..thanks

you need spark!
check your fuses first
and do the screw driver thing

most likely your ICM or just your whole distributor

Any CEL?

will the d15b7 dizzy work?

checked fuses (all look good) also.. i noticed on the intake manifold i got their isnt a sensor where the d15b7 had one which connected to black canister

The sensor is located:

but you dont need that! , so just block that off.

I spend over an hour one time trying to get a motor started. It ended up being there wasnt enough grounds hooked up. dont over look em.

spring makes contact to the Cap to distribute the spark so if that was not making contact then yes that could be a problem.. it must be straight

if you look inside the cap you will see one pin out of the circle prolly off in the corner or something.. the spring must make contact with that.

to test your ICM and coil use my write up i did a while back

wasnt the spring thing.. switched it out.. still dead.. didnt hear fuel pump start up either.. ill check the ICM in the morning

Fuel pump not priming is lamost garuntee'd to be your main relay or the obvious a dead fuel pump

fuel pumped worked 4 days ago.. right before i did swap..
where's main relay located? isnt it the fuse located in the engine bay?

The main relay is right by the hood pop, under the dash. 10mil bolt and a plug. I hate these types of problems. You can take the case off the relay to check it. Theres two tabs to take it apart, look for burnt or weak connections. Good luck

check out your dizzy...if thats koo then check your sparks...if your getting some sort of spark, and still can't start it...its got to be your timing...
