Hey I was told phearable.net will chip and convert the auto to 5 speed for 100.00 I am going to get mine jdm p30 chipped here soon. Hope this helps. Mike
how-to... http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...anual
It's not difficult, 10 minutes if you can solder really well. No chipping required.

what im talking about is how much watts does this 1.4k resistor have to have.. to went to look at some resistors and i wasnt sure which one some have the 1/2 watts some have 1 watts and on
the smaller the wattage the smaller the case of the resistor, the smaller the case the easier it is to mount to the surface mount location of the JDM P30.
keep in mind that the stock ECU uses parts that are maybe 1/16 watt at best.
easy answer.... the standard 1/4 watt 1.4k ohm resistor works fine. anything larger makes it a pain to get it in the case of the ECU without touching anything else.
