would a 98 GSR oil pan bolt right on to a 98 LS? I need a new oil pan! thanks

 

yeah...most "B" series are adaptable...to a certain extant...

 

however...an ls oil pan will not fit a b18c

 

i believe it will not fit..... if they did fit, you would see a lot more of "b series oil pan" for sale, instead of people specifically stating GSR oil pan or LS oil pan for sale.

 

nah im pretty sure the vtec pan will fit the ls...reason the ls pan wont fit the b18c's is because it doesnt clear the rod girdle thing (yea i sound like a newb i forgot the name of them)...the ls pan sits up higher

 

go check acura part site and see if they have same part #

 

they wont for the reason i just stated....but that does not mean it wont fit the ls block

you can blt up a b16 oil pan to the ls just fine. the gsr engines have a 3-main girdle which in order to boolt up the pan it needed a different pick-up and widage tray.

you can bolt up the gsr pan only if you use the pick-up and windage tray from the gsr engine(i believe...correct me if im wrong)
