car wont start after compression test?
ok so i did a compression test on my car, but took out one spark plug at a time and plugged the compression tester into each valve at a time instead of taking all 4 of them out at once and tried to crank it up. also i forgot to take the fuel injection fuse out.
Now the car will crank but wont start. What could the problem be?

i waited a day and then tried to start it and it still wouldn't start. i took all the spark plugs out and it was kinda soaked with oil but not completely soaked.
First, make sure your plugs are in the right order and location.
If that's not it, then you might have fried your coil and or ignitor. When you do a compression test, you have to unplug the distibutor or pull a fuse to disable the ignition system. If you don't, the coil is building a huge charge, but is unable to discharge it because the plugs/wires are pulled. Very bad. There was a thead a few months back that had pictures of a coil that fried itself, melted it really badly.
I have heard of people doing the compression test only pulling one plug at a time. But it takes less battery power and effort to turn the engine over without the plugs in.

Your plugs shouldn't be soaked in oil. Why did you do the compression test to begin with? Just do it? or did you have a maintenence concern. Also not pulling all of your plugs does make your engine work harder and work against itself which can throw your readings off as well.
If your plugs are soaked in oil and it's not just carbon soaked in fuel making it look like oil...you've got other problems that need to addressed immediately.
