my boy just picked up a b16a with trans for his si.. it has the fatory mounts on the side trans and rear trans, but mising the mount on the driver side.. the 2 trans mounts look like the will bolt up by the looks..what mount do you need for the side engine?? also it didnt come with any axles what axles will fit?? and can you use the stock linkage from the si or ned to get something differnt?? need help trying to get motor and trans in the weekend..if you have hay parts that would work let me know to... o ya what about the front dampeners they dont look like they will fit either.. it didnt come with a starter either will the one from the si work??

u can use a integra driver side mount it would fit...all the other mounts will fit...any b series linkage and axles will fit...everything from a b series will fit on the motor to do your swap

 

Which b16 is it. USDM? JDM? If jdm which one. If its Sir II motor I can probably answere all of you questions.

what year integra?? i have a 93 and it dont look close.. does have to be the gsr ??

 

i think its jdm but not sure... i just says b16a how can you tell?? i know the head has a pr3 on it and so does the block

 

To be honest with you I dont know how you could tell what car it came out of unless the VIN # is on the motor. If it says just b16a then its JDM.

 

Btw all b16a's are pretty much the same. It will only matter what car it came from if it came with the stock mounts, axles and shift linkage. If it didnt come with any of that stuff then dont worry about trying to figure out what car it came from. Just get the stuff to make a b16 fit in an eg.

 

USe mounts from a 94+ teggy. They will bolt right up into your buddy's EG. As far as axles you can use the ones from a 94+ teg as well. Good luck!

the only thing is hes trying to do it cost efective .. low on cash..he got the motor, trans, ecu,intake, harness, and intermediate shat for 1000.. but it needs a few things.. its missing the upper motor mount ds, bolts that hold on the trans, exhaust and intake manafolds, and valve cover,and the tps is broke off..do you know were i could get these??

the bolts off any b series will fit wont they..

 

The bolts off any b series will fit onto the motor but wont fit the motor into the car. The TPS will be a pain. To get one from honda you have to buy a whole throttle body so definately look for a junkyard or ebay one. Search what mounts you need. I know its on H-T.
