XTD Stage 1 Race Clutch!
Well, I put my clutch in about 2 weeks ago and I now have about 610 miles on it. I broke it in about 250 miles and I tried to ****** send gear out of reflex because of the Cobalt SS and it slipped. So, I took it easy on it until I had a total of about 530 miles on it and this PT Cruiser GT pulls up next to me, so, out of reflex I try snatching second and third gears and you might be able to guess what happened, it slipped. It doesn't slip at all under load in any gear as long as I'm cruising but if I try to ****** a gear, it slips.
My question is,
Is it slipping because of the power I'm putting out?
Is it slipping because I tried snatching second too soon?
Why is it slipping?
My setup is in my signature and I also have a 2.5" KTeller downpipe.

Before you go flamin' people, why don't you do a search on here and see exactly how many people are using this clutch with no problems. I did my research and decided that it was the best clutch out for the money. Yeah, it was cheap, but there are countless people on here that are using it with absolutely no problems.

Re: (EX-T)
You probably need to put more miles on it without "snatching" anymore gears.
Doing that **** while you're breaking the clutch in will glaze it, which will make it slip, period.
A stock clutch can hold a greddy kit on it's stock setting of 8lbs, so if this "race clutch" is any better then it won't slip after it's broken in.

i think it could be the amount of power that you are putting out. my brand new oem clutch lasted about a week after i went turbo. then i got a used sct stage 2 and it was fine. if the clutch is cheap then just get a higher stage one. like a 2 or 3.

Why are you questioning my driving skills? Until you have seen me drive then don't make comments like that.
Back on topic....
I tried grabbing second gear again today with about 675 miles on the clutch and it actually broke the tires loose. I'm going to baby it for a little while longer just to be sure and we'll see what happens. If it slips after another 325 miles, I'm going to go ahead and pick up a pucked clutch.
