Default Intake question for a swap

If i want to put a CAI on my car after a b18c1 swap, which one do i use? Do i use the one for the 97 civic ex coupe? or is there a different one?

You can use the one for your car although it will be a tight fit. You can also use one for a gsr, I would use a gsr CAI because it will more than likely be bigger in diameter compared to a civic CAI.

To tell you the truth, both CAI will work but the fitments are gonna be different. The gsr tb is very low and the diameter of the piping will be bigger. It also depends on the brand of CAI you get. I have a tenzo in my 5th gen hatch with a B18C1 which was made for my d15, it's a 3 piece intake but it works.

Well in my experience AEM is the only way to go, although a few guys i know run injen.....i just want to do SOMEthing to my car. Perhaps exhaust. I am pretty sure most catbacks will bolt up the same will they not?

Nope, when you drop a B18C1 in it, you will have to lengthen the cat in order to bolt on the the exhaust. No exhaust shops will do this in my area because of some stupid liability issue. How is your suspension? If you really want to spend $$$, get some swaybars or upgrade your breaks, these are essential pieces that become very important after the swap.

There ARE two other options, one contact a Random Cat distributor, they make a custom cat for GSR swaps into civic's that is a complete bolt up cat, OR have your exhaust extended not the cat, and any exhaust shop will extend some exhaust piping for you.
