Default White smoke, help fresh swap

Well i just put a fresh swap into my 88 crx dx, when i turn it on and it idles it goes okay, but when i rev it at high rpms say about 5000, i get thick smoke that is coming outta the tail pipe as well as some water like stuff in a orange brown color....

My ecu only blinks code 14... what could be causing all this smoke?

no rebuild, its a brand new swap well it has like 30000 miles on it but, yea the first time i started it as well as multiple times over it blew out white smoke at high rpms, i took it around the block a couple times and it was still smoking and it started to over heat

Pressure test your system first. Sounds like a headgasket. Could be cracked block. Find your leak. When you overheat your motor your rings collapse and the motor is garbage just for your information.

If it were my motor I would have cleaned that bitch up, rebuilt it and then put it in. Doesn't even take that much time to rebuild.

takes that much money that i dont have however its under a 100% guarentee so anything wrong with it would be replaced.... however i am pretty sure its not a cracked block for it doesnt leak any anti freeze, on behalf of the white smoke i was told that it could be the oil burning through just getting used to being ran again, ive been told the thing about the head gasket and i have also been told about that it could be coolent, although i have no idea how coolent can even make its way to the exhaust

Okay

It smells sweet, right? If so, and its white (not blue) then its coolent. Sounds like a blown head gasket. Not really hard, just tedious.

Your 14 is the EACV, make sure its wired right and such. And now that I think about it, the EACV has coolent running through it. Check that.

think about it, your cylinders are surrounded by coolant. Cracked sleeves or leak in the headgasket, coolant can enter the chamber and poof thats how it can enter the exhaust. And thats explaining it to you like your three. no offense.

so even though its a fresh swap its not anything that the engine can just push out and there is no other possibilities that it could be?

do a leakdown test. heres a write up:

"if you remove the radiator cap and air bubbles appear in the coolant, then your headgasket is blown."

no one knows the real mileage or history with these motos from japan...it could have 150k miles and been taken to 8000rpm every single day for all you know

actually from what ive been told, do to the amount of space in japan as well as pollution laws they will be fined for any engine over 30000 miles so they have to discard them so we buy them, but as far as the 8000 rpm everyday that could be very true

Sounds like a blown headgasket. Not difficult to replace just get a helms or haynes manual. They'll walk you right through it.

Dont be ignorant - not everyone drives thier car exactly x miles per day. I'm sure there are a ton of engines with MUCH more than 30k miles on them because either A) thier all highway or, B) They liked the car and kept it more. Just remember, your buying a used engine AS-IS.

I agree, would the head gasket being blown have anything to do with the performance, also it seems the more i drive it the less it smokes, could it have anything to do with the fuel being to rich?

Listen all you gotta do is buy/rent a block tester. They sell it at any auto place its just a blue liquid that you put in special turkey bayster thing and you let your car warm up then undo the radiator cap and put one end by the radiator and if it picks up hc's in your system it will turn green , meaning blown gasket or cracked block. I surely doubt the block is cracked cause then youd have coolant and oil mixture.
