Default White Smoke! HELP!

My car burns white smoke sometimes when I start the car up in the morning. However, when the car is at normal idling temperatures, it does not blow any smoke. Is this bad? Any information on this issue?
Also, I blow black smoke in small amounts when I shift really high or rev high. My car is tuned with I/H/E/High-Flo Cat; this may be a result of the mods but I am not sure. The motor was purchased about 10,000 miles ago from N1 Concepts in California (whom I hear has a good reputation). I don't know exactly how many miles are on the motor, but I was told it was around 50 or 60k. Isn't this a little early for having smoke problems?

Thank you for any help!

smoke = bad

Black smoke is oil and is pretty normal for b series at high revs but that doesn't mean its ok just normal....

white smoke is normally from anti freeze which would lead me to say you have a bad head gasket or a cracked block.

How white is the smoke and what temp is it out side?

I had this problem too... Mine was a warped head tho... had it machined at new water pump and timing belt for $860

Is that how much it cost?

Machine work for my motor was $25, new belt and water pump is roughly $100-$120 I think from the dealer. Did they do the install for you as well?

Yeah coolant is probably finding it's way into the cylinder(s).
