Ridiculous question about converting to OBD1 *I should be shot*
Yeah this is bad I admit. Believe it or not I searched.....
I'm swapping an OBD1 B18a into a '91 Civic LX. My 1st engine build, from scratch, engine is reinforced for b00st.....
Anyway, MPFI wiring seems straightforward. I think I've also figured out how to effectively bypass the resistor box for the OBD1 injectors.
So I have all the stuff from the Integra: distributor, ECU, engine harness, sensors, etc. And I bought an OBD1 conversion harness locally (looks awesome). It includes the ECU adapters, and the 2 distributor jumper harnesses. If I remember correctly, I think the conversion harness has bare wires that I'll hook the 4 wire o2 up to.....
What else needs to be done? Will I have to resolder every gray plug from the OBD1 harness onto my OBD0 harness? Bah that would suck.....
Both original engine harnesses are removed from the engines now, and I have no clue what plug went where. Generally, wiring > me.
Any help appreciated. Flame away if it makes you feel better

Well since you bought a conversion kit with jumpers, you shouldn't have to solder in any of the obd1 components. Just go at the project without regarding the obd1 stuff at all for now. Just concentrate on getting the car MPFI. Then just plug in your harnesses and fire it up. You can do the o2 last, since its not required for the car to start up.
NO U DUNT HAV 2 SOLDER .DAT IS DA HOLE POINT OF DA ADPATER HARNES U GOT: 1 SIDE GOS INTO ORIGINAL PLUG AN OTHER SIDE GO INTO OBD1 PART..ONLY TING U HAV 2 SOLDER IS WIRES 4 DA 4 WIRE O2
So my old Civic harness will plug right into the OBD1 alternator and whatever other sensors are protruding from this LS block???
This thing didn't come with any instructions....

Focus on swapping it to DPFI to MPFI first. After that's done you'll use your obd0-obd1 conversion harness. The only plugs that will have to be changed on your civic harness in order to convert to obd1 are the two distributor plugs. I personally bought adapters for these plugs from someone here on h-tech so I didn't have to hack into the harness. All of the remaining plugs on your civic harness will plug into the components for the ls block. You'll have to extend a few wires, and switch the tps wires around, as well as some other stuff for the DPFI to MPFI conversion though. There's a really good link for the DPFI to MPFI conversion, I'm sure you can find it upon searching if you don't already have it, unfortunately I erased it from my favorites. FYI, Boomslang I believe makes a conversion harness from DPFI to MPFI if you don't want to do it yourself. Otherwise just pm me if you got any questions or need a little help. Oh, how's the Jim fab bars?

Like I said, I should be shot.....sorry again about that Nick.....
I should be bolting them up tomorrow actually, cleaning up the engine bay for the swap.
That's great news about the harness though. Seems like it will be easier than I thought.

That definitely just dawned on me!
Nobody believes me when I tell them I was hanging out in the install bay of a Maserati dealership

buy a manual for what ever harness you are using and they have wiring diagrams and the colors of all the plugs and what they go to. thats what i did. i used a da manual and it has the obd0 and obd1 diagrams. manuals are a life saver with this hobby.
