How much power is safe with 100 octane?
Right now I can't run leaded gas in my car because I have a tial 38mm wategate, and the highest octane I can find around here is 100. So how much power can I run safely with 100? My setup is:
83mm b16
cp 9.5:1
Blox stage a cams
edelbrock IM
pte 1000cc injectors
top mount exhaust mani.
open 3in. down pipe
t3/t67

I asked my tuner the same question I run 9:1 comp and he said running 22psi would be the max he recomends and he tunes really conservitive. And max of around 16psi on 93. But it totaly depends on the tune/tuner. 18-20 sounds pretty reasonable to me. Donno if any of this helps
Ive seen people make 400+ on 93 with about 16-18psi, so I would think possibally 500 with a good tuner. I guess how ever far the tuner wants to push it.

it causes damage to the metal in the wastegate.....i think its tial that offers another valve for leaded gas

Have seen high 4XXwhp with a couple cars. Too many variables. If you have access to Sunoco fuels you can get Sunoco 109 unleaded.

They make two valves for it one for leaded and one for unleaded. Maybe you have the leaded one. I'm thinking about just putting leaded in anyway. I might be getting a different wastegate soon.
