Yeah, usually people have issues with lights dimming because of bad ground. When I turn on my headlights, my gauge cluster doesn't light, and my heater control doesn't dim. WTF should I check first. Trust me, I've checked.

 

Your dimmer switch is bad. Get a used one off of ebay. I had the exact same problem. The dimmer switch is common for going bad.

Make sure you ask if the dimmer switch works.

 

I really don't think its the dimmer switch though. It may be, but are there any fuses or relays I can check.

 

I believe the fuses are under the dash drivers side. I didnt think it was the switch either. I waisted my time pulling the cluster out and checking grounds and all it ended up being was the switch.

 

Do your dash lights work with the headlights off??
