Default Auto PR3 to manual to run a mini-me?

Looking to put in a B16 ECU since it's VTEC capable, not sure how well this will work, so i'm asking. I'm assuming i'll get a CEL because (correct me if i'm wrong) B16s have two VTEC solenoids. I prefer not to have to swap to OBD1 to keep this as cheap as possible since it's my daily driver, just throwing a little more power at it since i'm rebuilding the engine. Anyway, there's Auto B16 ECUs cheap, just wondering what problems i'd run into.

you're wrong.

"B16s have two VTEC solenoids"

sounds like a super ghetto car.

minime rig, auto to manual ecu rig, and pr3 to run a sohc rig.

"keep this as cheap as possible since it's my daily driver"

how reliable do you want your rigged up daily driver? spend the right money.

leave it stock if you cant afford to do it correctly..... why ruin it for a future buyer thats gonna have to run through the whole car pissed that you half-assed everything.

actually the pr3 runs the sohc vtecs pretty good..obviously it aint perfect but it will work...

and i dont know where you heard about 2 solenoids from but they only have one...the ecu is going to throw a code though because it looks for 2 o2 sensors and a knock sensor,,so what to do? you can chip the ecu to see no o2 but what about the knock,,still be throwin codes..im sure you can rig something up to though..

The knock sensor can be elminated also.

If you get it tuned, it will run better than stock.

I was thinking i saw a Solenoid for both cams on the B16 i was looking at, but it's been about a year since i really looked at one.

Anyway, thanks for the info, i'll go ahead and get the B16 ECU. I can run resistors across the knock sensor wires to keep it from throwing a code, right?

OBD0 B16s have two O2s? Hmm, i'll figure something out.

Xenocron actually made me a chip to run a manual pr3 to do my mini-me. Sadly I fried the pr3 trying to chip it. But I would contact him, at the very least he could probably mod the ecu to make it manual.
