Civic Engine Swap. Help!!!
I have a 1995 Honda civic, the engine is D16z6 SOHC VTEC and i wanted to do an engine swap. i was thinking of B16A but would an H22A (prelude engine) work? and what would i need other than engine, tranny, ECU, shift linkage, and axles? anything special i have to get?
thanks in advance
thanks in advance
b series is a direct drop in if you use the integra mounts and if you are dropping in a h series then you are going to need some custom mounts
integra radiator hoses or ones from a del sol, if you want to keep air conditioning you need the ac bracket from a del sol you will need to run a wire to your ecu for the knock sensor or have an ecu programed to bypass it if you have any questions let me know i just did the b16sirII swap in my 93 ex a few months ago.
i was just about to search this. cool. me and a friend did our first swap today and it was way easier than i thought it would be ,wiring and all. it is a 97 obd2gsr into a 94 dx hatch. everything went great until we went to install the radiator.the del sol lower radiator hose was to small for the block. we were told that we got a 94 dohc hose. is this the correct one becuz i thought i saw this in the f.a.q.s but now i cant find it. ill continue to search but if you can help thanks

I would also look into a B18B1 non vtec. I have a 93 coupe that had the same d16z6 in it. The LS swap is cheap and very effective. I run high 14's with my civic with the LS swap. Everything was very cheap for the swap including the motor and tranny, plus you could later down the road ditch the head, pick up a B16 head, and do a ls/vtec for a little cheaper than buying a whole B16 swap. Just something to think about.
