hey everyone, i plan on doing an ls swap with ad el sol. my integra was totaled but the engine was still in good condition. what all would i have to do? for instance, mounts should be a direct fit right? what about the wiring harness and transmission setup? do i need new axels? i'm naming off the top of my head but any more or even little help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

The answer will largely depend on what year the LS engine is...

Basically, you'll use the engine/mounts/axles/ecu from the LS. If it's an ODBI engine, then you're good to go. If it's an ODBII engine then you'll either need an ODBI ECU or a conversion harness.

I *think* you reuse the Del Sol shift linkage, but don't quote me on that. It may depend on whether it's a vtec car or not. Post up some more details and people can help you out better.

check my web page, there is a whole section on the swap... the ls block is the same. The only difference will be the lack of the VTEC solenoid and wiring. You will need linkage, axles, motor mounts, and the ECU, plus other stuff I can't think of right now. Sean

thanks guys, basically when my car was totaled, it was a side impact. i'm pretty sure most of the parts i need for the swap are salvagable. the ecu is still in teh car but the engine and trans has been removed. its non vtec and i'm not really planning on a vtec swap whats the difference in the shift linkages (clueless). thanks again
