brake leak need help?!
I have a integra ls/vtec..etc now i looked at the brake fluid and its consistently at the max level, i dont seem to find any leakage anywhere around it or see any shiny liquid, any way while driving everytime i press on the brake, it will slow me down of course but as i get get to a complete sto, the brake pedal will slowly sink all the way down to ground, I pretty much have to pump my breaks in order for me to stop suddenly or even slow down quick enough when needing to, or i end up having to use my e-brake. I was told could be a bad brake booster or need to bleed the brakes? what can it be, i dont seem to find a leak, cuz the fluid is consistent at max level. help!? needa brake job fast!! thanks!
here is how you test for a bad brake booster. Get in your car with the motor OFF. Pump the brake a few times then hold it down. If the pedal slowly drops its a hydraulic problem, possibly air in the lines. If the pedal is solid and feels good, continue to hold it down and start the car. If it drops to the floor dlowly then its the booster.
