Default Recommendations for any good shops near Phoenix? (engine swap)

basically this is a project im hoping to do at the end of summer once i get all the funds together. so basically im looking to swap a b16a engine into a 92 civic hb vx. i would like to learn how to do it but i dont really have the time once school starts and i would rather have it done professionally so i dont encounter any problems later. so the motor im looking at is this one at hmotorsonline:

http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/...30003

only things im worried about are other parts i would need to upgrade that dont come with the complete swap and possibly passing smog. but being a 92 car and that engine still using obd1 i shouldnt think there would be a problem. if anyone has anymore suggestions i would really appreciate it. thanks.

there are a couple of shops that you could look into, i wont recomend one over the other
but you should call them both and talk to them about your swap.

importpower house- they are in phoenix around 27th ave and I-10

superior racing devolpment- they are in tempe

those are probally the 2 most well known shops here in phoenix/tempe area i am sure there are more i just dont know of them. good luck with the swap

thanks. i saw superior racing devolpment from the hasport site, but $1200 might be a little steep for an engine swap. anyone else have any other recommendations?

They have new owners. Their prices are not competitive at all. I think they are charging what they charge to get back the money the pumped into buying SRD. They quoted me $9000 for a B16B swap in a 5th gen civic. They quoted $6,000 just for the B16B swap. They quoted me $11,000 for a K20A2 swap into a 5th gen Civic. They are pushing the 4 wheel off road market big time.

Go with Import Powerhouse http://www.importpowerhouse.com

If you want to save a lot more and have some time to wait 1 or 2 weekends contact a guy by the name of Duane Ockey at Honamotive in Tempe. http://honamotive.com/
