when i start my car it keeps on reving from 1500 to 2500 up and then drops again then it goes back up. it keeps doing this until the engine gets hot then it settles at about 1200 rpm. is this normal for a GSR? i have a GSR in my 94 civic Hb. can some help. thanks i hope this is normal.

I agree with MANTIC6T9 its either that or bad IAC valve.

 

On the back of the intake manifold, there's a thin hose that carries coolant through it (it sits side to side, connected to the manifold, not up and down) pull it off while the car is running, and pour in a little extra coolant, until it's over flowing, and there's no more air in the line, than plug it back in, and see if that helps. You will probably have to adjust the idle (flat head screw on the throttle body). Be careful, cause the coolant will probably spill a little when you pull the hose off. If that doesn't work, then you may have a bad IAC. Good luck
