Default I am looking for a tranny

No, im not a tranny chaser, i dont pick up women who used to be men... im looking for a manual tranny to fit my B18a1. I need a summer project, and that is goign to be to convert my DA9 LS-Auto to a Manual... i dont care if it has a GSR, ITR, CTR, or LS tranny, i just want it to have 5 gears and a clutch... I realize i will need in addition to this:

Guage cluster, shift linkage, clutch, flywheel, clutch pedal and brake pedal (they are on the same mount), clutch cable (OR slave/master cylanders and hydro lines), wiring harness, ecu, shifter, shifter boot, 3 new tranny mounts, axles, and plastic trim piece in my car... i dont think im forgetting anything... so thats what i need, but first i would liek to find out where to get a tranny, and what tranny will give me good gas mileage on the highway (prolly the LS)

YES i have searched, i know that the LS has longer gears, not close ratio gears, people say its better for a turbo, whatever, I have serached and the only place i know to look for a tranny is e-bay. Where do i get the other parts, and where is a good place to get a tranny? and finally what you would recommend: YS1, Y80, S80, Y1, S1, S4C... just please help me out here.

thanks

Well, if you're willing to spend extra cash and convert it to hydro tranny, then I'd say go for the Type R. But I would recommend staying wif cable and swing for the JDM YS1 tranny.

Buy a b16 cable tranny. They arent as expensive as a hydro.

You'll need to buy a cable clutch transmission. The hydraulically actuated transmissions won't directly bolt on.
