Default Neuspeed "L" bracket question.

I have the Neuspeed rear swaybar which I got used with the car. It did not come with the Neuspeed "L" brackets nor was I aware that they were available so ive been driving around with the stock ones for over a year. My question is if its worth getting those Neuspeed brackets. Is it more of a security to have them or are they going to maximise the performance of the bar. I called Neuspeed today and they want $60 a peice.
Thanks.

get it. if you make corner hard enough, you may break off your stock "L" brackets.

I got the brackets today but no hardware. Can I just reuse the bolts that mount to the frame and use my own bolts for the bushing to bracket mounting points?

yes, but make sure you use some beefy bolts when mounting the sway bar to the brackets.

remember to tighten all bushings down on the rear sway with vehicle weight resting on the rear suspension

That's true with bushings, but why would you need to do it with a swaybar? It's free to rotate, so it's not going to bind or anything...

^^^ its to set the angle in which the bar sits so there is no preload on the bar

and it doesnt matter if you use the beefiest bolts.....that sucker would still be able to tear out from the chassis

and it doesnt attach to the rear subframe

OK, but the bar rotates freely inside the bushings. Moving both wheels up or down at the same time makes no difference.

Maybe if you were to lift one wheel higher than the other and then torque the bolts you would have some preload, but not when they're at the same height.

the oem hardware/bolts should be strong enough to hold the brackets/omega bracket-bushings.

i'd even argue that you didn't need the L's, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.

your car doesnt site 100% flat
you tighten the brackets when the car sits "level" so there is no preload on the swaybar
