Default 93 ex overheating prob!

my car when i bought it needed a wp
the car was fine and had no water in tailpipe (no blown hg)
put a new 1 on and it ran fine for the past month
when i did the wp i replaced the wp and thermo
removed a/c and p/s
and it ran very cool for a while
but now it is overheating
ive checked and the thermo is working and wp is working
i dont think the fan is though
i checked the hoses and found 1 with a leakage
cut it and put it back on w no leak
car ran cooler but still ran really warm
is it that the fan motor is gone or the realy is fried? checked fuse and it is still good
ne help would ber appreciated
motor is a D15B7

also i just replaced the sp and battery
wating until next paycheck to finish tuneup

First you have to narrow the problem down to the fan.
Is your car overheating at idle? If so this is an indication of the fan not working.
Make sure the fan is plugged in. When you changed the t-stat you might of forgot to plug the fan switch back in.

you can rig it so that you can put the fan on a switch but I would suggest just getting a new relay if thats the problem. just check your wires wiht a light to make sure they are getting power.

dont rig the fan so it comes on everytime the car is on because thats not how its suppose to work. you'll run the car too low a temp and the fan usually only comes on when the temps get too high. driving around there is sufficient wind to cool the radiator.
