Default Recommended oil...

i'm about to do the first oil change in my recently purchased integra, was just wondering what a good high quality oil would be recommended by some people that really take car of their cars. thanks for the help.

I would stay away from synthetic unless thats what the previous owner was already using, especially if your engine has higher miles.

any semi synthetic. no need to blow money on moble 1. just change it every 3k, and no worries. people think too much about it! just change it!

depends on how you drive it, i commute with my car, and change the oil every 2 weeks... i buy the cheapest oil possible, and it runs like a champ.

Royal Purple FTW.

if I don't use that, it's Mobil 1.

I commute also, around 300 miles a week, change my oil & filter every 5K miles with Castrol GTX 10/30 and PureOne filter. I have almost 294K miles and counting. When I pull the valve cover, the engine is clean as a whisle, burns no oil, and runs like a champ.

If you are changing your oil every 2 weeks, you are not doing yourself or your car any favor. In fact, in just 2 years with that outlay of expense, you could purchase a new engine with what you are spending, lol.

Just curious, do you brush your teeth 10 times a day? Or maybe shower 6 times?
Sounds like compulsive behavior, but more power to ya.
