How much Should I lower my car??
First of all, it is a 97 Ex Coupe, 16" wheels with 205/45/16 tires, everything else is stock.
I was wondering how much I should lower my car. I want a more aggresive stance and improved handling, but I don't want it so low that I would take off my bumper going over a speed bump.
How Low should I go??
Also, please tell me what you voted for and why.
Thanks!!!!!

i voted for 2 inch drop.. i have a 95 ex coupe that has 95 integra gsr rims on it.. they are 195/55/15 and its lowered 2.5 front, and 2.25 rear and its sits very nice.. w/ your 16 rims and low profile tires it will be nice.. you might even be able to go lower, depending on your taste.. im going to be doing more work to the car over summer including getting a set of GC coilovers, new struts, tires, and chamber kit.. i bought the cheapo springs cause i knew i would be replacing them and it saved me some money..
I have a 94 civic ex coupe with the 2" drop. I would suggest not going that low unless you want to mess with camber kits. Too much of a hassle if you ask me. I had the ingalls camber kit on and my tires were still wearing uneven.

I voted for 2" drop. That is the same drop I use and I have progress springs with tokico blues. the ride is close to stock , but offers a better stance with improved cornering .

Do you guys think 1.5 would look good if could save about $150. I would prefer to drop it a little more, but I live in MN, so dropping it too much is prob not a good idea fora daily driver.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
I can get a set of matching springs and shocks for $350, and it is all I need, I don't auto-x or anything. Plus with the money I am saving I can make my car faster.
It is really a budget issue, I would get coil-overrs If I had the $$$$$

i have the eibach sportlines on my car. it is a 1.8 drop, but i have 17's with 205/40 tires. sometimes my tires rub if i go over big bump. i wouldn't suggest anything over a 2 inch drop.......or coilovers with good shocks. my friend has a 2000 ex with ground control coilovers and tokico blue shocks. it rides well for beinf so low.
lower it 4 inches heck take the springs out run it on some strong shocks.
your car might sit on the ground but its ok. it will rise up the more you drive

why don't you get adjustable coilovers and decide for yourself?

my 93 h'b is at 2 and i have a slight camber problem. voted for 2, because by the time i'm gonna need new tires the camber problem isn't going to effect me. i also live in a area with a lot of curved roads and sharp turns so the outside of my tires are still getting used. i had to get a camber kit in my crx. dropped it 2 1/4. camber kit, aligment, and labor was $250 for me. not gonna bother with one on my hatch.
i have 17 on my sol and yellows droped to the lowest setting and 2" drop springs with out any problems and it looks tight

I live in Toronto.. similar weather issues to MN. I just put eibach sportlines in my 98 si.. the drop is 1.8 all around.
its on stock 14's and the back wheels have nice tuck. the front isn't as dropped as much as I would have liked it (no tuck), but the stance is still great and the cornering is improved (still rolls a lot tho). the look is similar to a stock 3-series.
the only other option I considered aside from sportlines were H&R sports. the drop is 1.7 in the back.
I'd reccomend staying above 2 inches. less worry about about camber or shocks... errr for a few months at least
