Default Need Advice on lowering car & tucking tires

Ok, I have a 95 Civic Coupe. Looking to low it this weekend, I have on there now 17's (205/40/17). I'm looking to low my car, I have basic coilover's to use new, I know I have to roll my fenders to avoid rubbin on the edges, but I want to tuck the tires as nice and low as possible without hurting anything, right now with those rims when I low the car it doesn't look like they'll tuck under the fenders so how do I go about this, tired searchin but couldn't find anything. Thanks for help

Uhhh, dont run 17's and you will tuck just fine. Just remember, on smaller rims, tucking=camber. And tucking on something bigger=cuts in your tires from the fenders. So just think about what you really want, and then go for it.

Oh ok, so for me to want the tuck look I would get some nice smaller rims like Si's or whatever? And with my 17's I'll just be able to low it so much than right? Well if I decided either way, weather on 15's or 17's is it good to get a camber kit front/rear for the car before I low it? As, where does a camber kit go and how do it work (adjust), sorry for stupid questions, but I'm not a good suspension person, never really liked lowered cars until I bought a 92 Integra slammed already and loved it, so now tryin it with my 95 coupe

If I had my kit here, I'd take pics and show you how it works, basically it looks like your stock A-arm. Which is the top part of your suspension, it basically looks like a wishbone. It has screws in it, that can be loosened so that you can pretty much slide around the suspension to get the correct amount of camber. If you pick one up, I'd suggest the skunk 2 or the omni power(same design) with a Vision Rear Camber kit.

Aight, I'll lower my car with the 17's and see how it looks, if I like it than I'll keep it, I'll work on the camber kit also since I'm getting new tires for the 17's, don't want them to wear funny

That's only true if you lower it more than about an inch and a half.

Well I think for now its only gonna be like an inch or so, but I might just get the camber kit before I even bother, might just work on rollin the fenders in the mean time, keep the advice coming

i have 16's w/ tires baring an aspect ratio of 40mm...i lowered my hatch w/ some cheap *** (regretable) coilovers about 2 inches..no problems what so ever with the camber. my friends ls hatch, cut 4 lobes off of the stock spring (slammed the car!) tucks ALOT, and he has the 15" Si's...Horrible camber... 17's.. ur hatch is gonna look like a jeep but sit stock hieght of the ground
