Question... I ordered my B18c engine from hmotorsonline and got the upgraded lsd tranny. Is this a gsr tranny w/the lsd or a different tranny? Is there any way for me to tell? Please let me know if there is, Thanks!!

 

it will be a gsr tranny with a oem lsd. or maybe youll get luck and get on with a aftermarket lsd like i did when i got my b16 w/lsd paid the extra 300$ for the upgrade and got 1000$ lsd out of it.

i've got a ?, why is my ls tranny better then a type r tranny? I mean, is this saying that both of them have LSD? I would imagine, but Im supposed to get a kids type r tranny with 50,000 miles on it, stock lsd, and vortec gears....can i get some advice?

 

its not better except for gas mileage, thats it. The LS does not come with an LSD

 

how are people making out with the jdm itr 4.7 trans and boost??

 

i have a si tranny with the 4.7 fg its real good i go thur the powerband real quick

how much power are u making? do u have an lsd?

im concerned when i finish my build that my trans might be hurting my traction more than help......

i have the oem itr lsd, traction bars, and will be getting some beefier all seasons....... im hopin it will be enough........

 

4.7 final drive and boost is fun like a 2 stroke dirtbike just mashing through those gears. I love the gsr its one of my fav's the gears are a good balance of gear ratios. Type R 4.9 FD tranny then run an ls 5 gear would be my choice.

 

thas what i wanted to do, was to get the type r tranny then have my ls 5th gear put in, they roll at lke 4800 at 80, i cant do that

B16A2 with a LS 5th Gear + a LSD of your Choice can't go wrong, I loved it on my bro's b16a2 turbo 256whp @ 8 psi
