Critique my welds
Been welding a few days, maybe 10 hours or so of work. This was done with a Miller 180sd, 3/32 mild steel rod, 160 amps, 1/8" plates. Sometimes everything clicks and I get get the consistency down, other times I'm all over the place. I also have to work on my starts and finishes, but please give me more feedback. I hope to build my own manifold as well as other car related parts...just as a hobby thing for myself.

The conisstency looks pretty good. However, 160 amps for 1/8" plate is WAY to much. Try about 120. Also, the 3/32" tungsten is a little big...you want to use the smallest diameter tungsten that will still carry the amperage.
Suggestion for stopping a bead...ease off the pedal semi-slowly, dont just let off completely. You dont have to sit there all day and go extremely slow coming off, just a little slower than simply letting off all at once.
Other than that...they look damn good!

Thanks for the feedback
.
Its 3/32" filler not tungsten. I actually don't know what size tungsten I used, I'll check in the morning. As far as stopping, I ease off the pedal I just think that I subconsciously slow down anticipating the end.
