My Setup:

B16 Trans
Competition Twin Disc
-3an Braided Line from Master to Slave Cylinder
95 Prelude Slave Cylinder (new)

Now when I press the clutch pedal in, Clutch rattles IS THIS NORMAL
Car is never driven on the road, just in and out of shop
Everything was working fine except rattle and now I dont have any pressure.

Could it be bad slave cylinder cuase downpipe is right next to it. can heat cause the slave cylinder to go bad.

 

yup normal and goes away when peddle is out

Do u know if I need to use the factory clutch line and what does the valve in the middle do?

Just like Sppolinyo said that is normal the rattling noise. We both have there clutch and called the company to verify that it was normal. Just make sure that you have the clutch assembled properly. It should have come with flywheel bolts makes sure you use those.

 

I used all of there bolts and torqued to their spec which factory. I have -3an stainless steel braided clutch line insteat of factory hard line. I know there is a valve in the middle but I dont know what it does.

Clutch was working fine till yesterday, now I have no pedal.

 

not sure how long ago you put the line in but I would say keep bleeding it to make sure that you have all the air out. My buddy did the same thing on his but he used -4 which didn't allow enough pressure to engage the clutch.

 

I had perfect pressure before and clutch engaged fine. suddenly no pressure now

 

That is just normal twin disc chatter. Did you install a pedal stop below your clutch pedal?

oh yeah I forgot about that one. I just put a bolt in the top hole of the clutch pedal like where the clutch switch would go. You want to adjust it to where you can engage the clutch with out it going all the way to the floor

 

make suure that the braided line is not longer than the stock one that can cause it to loose pressure good luck with the car this year!

pedal stop is not a must..I dont use one in mine..just make sure the slave piston doesnt pop out when the clutch is on the floor.

question..

how did you fit the lude slave on a B series tranny? I want to do the same thing because the bleeder comes out in front and not on the side so I can clear my downpipe better.

 

I will take some pics tomorrow. All u have to do is just make one of the holes bigger and it fits.

 

if ya use braided line make sure u use the teflon and not the rubber! the rubber has to much give in it and will cause shitty clutch feel

 

I think I found my problem, I think the hose which goes from resevor to master cylinder is leaking which is causing no pressure.

 

Did you get your pedal feel back?

Is the chatter really load cause I know someone who installed the metal plates that goes in between the disc wrong and it made a really load chatter.

Pretty loud which is normal. If you are beside a person at a stop light theyw ill look at you and think your car is all jacked up! lol

I havent flushed the system yet, I'm gonna do it after work.

 

so basicly you just needed to oval out one of the holes and is good to go? I got like 6 lude slaves here..time to go try it..

 

Holes are too far apart. make the hole toward the tranny little bigger toward the block.

I agree with this also...no stop here. And yes the clutch is very load when the pedal is depressed.
