Excessive whitish blue smoke at cruising speed????????????????????????
Today my car started to have excessive whitish blue smoke out the exhaust at cruising speed while being in gear, but when i get on it it goes away then returns at cruising speed while in gear. I no it sounds like a head gasket or another gasket, but my engine only has 70k. I checked my oil and its clean and my coolant is straight. Does anyone no what else it could be????????????????????
yup, check ur turbo shaft play?
sound like its blown... how old is it? if its newer or brand new, go do a leak down and a compression test but i doubt you would have any internal engine damage at 6psi, unless u have a bad tune.

My turbo is about 2 years or so old. The smoke will start after driving my car for about 10 minutes and is present at cruising speed while in gear and a little bit at idle.
You said it might be shaft play in the turbo. Should thier be zero play or is minor play acceptable, because i took my filter off to see if thier was any play and if i nudge the shaft back and forth a few times with light force it slightly moves. Is that normal?????
Another question that i have is what steps can i use to determine if the problem is a head gasket or a turbo related problem such as a turbo seal or shaft play????
