Comp H are only 15X7, but all are forged. No major diffrences.

My friend said they look different, but I was thinking he probably just compared different offsets, therefore showing a different spoke concave.

Thanks everyone!

The way the metal if forged can be the difference. The type-c's are light weight. The 15x7 are only 10.3 lbs.

Also, you can't tell by a pic if the inside of the fork's are gutted or not. Two wheels might look identical from the outside but flip them over and the fork's and/or other parts of the wheel may be hollowed out slightly. Some factory miata wheels are like this. Just feel around the fork, one might be solid while another set is hollowed out. (the hollowed out wheels being the light weight wheels)

Separated the two

FWIW, I've got 13 SSR Competition wheels and 4 SSR Type C's and none of them have hollow spokes.

FWIW, I have the 1 set of type-c's and they aren't hollowed out either. Never said they were. Point being you can't tell the difference of two different wheels by looking at a picture on the e-net.

What differences do you see between the Type C's and the Competitions?

A "Type C" is the same wheel as a "Competition". The only difference is the name. Competitions are only sold in America.

What size/brand of tyre were you using when it got bent? I got a minor bend in one of my 17x9 SSR Competitions from too much curb hopping while running 255/40/17 V700's.

How bad was the bend?

When I bent a wheel, it still held air and balanced fine.

completly unusable. At first I thought wow no big deal All i saw was a bent inside lip so I sent it to a wheel repair place. Came back unrepairable. I pull it out of the box lay it on the floor and then i noticed it. The thing wobbled back and forth on the flat floor about 1/4". Bent the lip and tweaked the entire wheel.
