Question on turbo cam and idle
Turbo cams should pose no threat on the idle right? Because of the short overlap it should idle like a stock engine? I did a search but couldn't find anything so excuse if this has already been covered.
it still depends on how aggressive the cam is.
the longer the duration
the more overlap ur gonna have
a stage 3 will still have a lil bit of a rough idle
but i have put stage 5 503 lift crowers in a n/a gsr and it still idles, but it just barely cuts as a daily driver.
just choose the right heat range for ur plugs and gap them accordingly
for turbo i would use ngk-r 9

well turbo cams r still closely related to n/a cams the duration is long to bring in more air but slightly shorter on the ex to get higher ex pressures to help with turbo spool
u r still going to have some idle issues but it will still be daily drivable.
stage 3 will be perfect and has a moderate amount of overlap at idle
